I am an experienced expert witness and have taken part in many medical malpractice cases involving speech-language pathology-audiology, swallowing and communication disorders. I am a specialist in voice print analysis and aural evaluation of speech samples for forensic purposes. In addition, I have years of experience as an educator.  I offer training programs in speaker profiling for all branches of law enforcement.  In addition, I offer Avoiding Dysphagia Malpractice Seminars (click for more information).

Background and Services

I received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University, where I researched voice print and speech pattern recognition.  My subsequent work has addressed a wide range of topics in communication sciences and disorders.  I am currently Professor of Health Sciences at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona and own Tanner Rehabilitation Services, Inc.

I enjoy serving as an expert witness and consultant in legal cases involving Communication Sciences and Disorders.
